Web development company in India, judged on what the site earns

Most business websites in India are a brochure with a contact form bolted on. We build the other kind: a site that loads in under two seconds on a 4G phone, that Google can read without help, and that your marketing team can change on a Tuesday without raising a ticket.

The short answer

Web development is the design, engineering and deployment of a website or web application. Advorize builds in Next.js and React, hosts on Vercel or AWS, and wires analytics and conversion tracking in before launch. A marketing site typically ships in four to ten weeks and is quoted at a fixed price after the audit.

The problem

A site that looks fine and sells nothing

Ad clickPage loads6s on 4GContentrenderedEnquiry
Traffic arrives and never reaches the content. Everything downstream of the load time is paid for and unused.

Nearly every redesign enquiry we get starts the same way: the site looks acceptable, so nobody can explain why it is not working. It is almost never the design. It is that the page takes six seconds on a phone, that the form posts nowhere anyone reads, and that no one can tell which page produced last month's three enquiries.

  • 01The homepage scores under 40 on mobile Lighthouse, and roughly half of mobile visitors leave before it finishes painting.
  • 02Every content change goes through the agency, so the site is nine months out of date and nobody has noticed.
  • 03Forms email a shared inbox with no CRM, no source attribution and no follow-up, so leads decay for two days before anyone calls.
  • 04Google Search Console shows pages indexed with the wrong titles, or not indexed at all, because the build renders everything client-side.
  • 05The site was built for the launch screenshot, not for the fifty pages of content the business now needs to publish.
Why businesses need it

Why your business needs a real web build

The honest answer differs by what you sell. A developer needs an indexable inventory. A clinic needs a booking flow. A SaaS founder needs a page that survives a Product Hunt spike. Here is the version for each.

Real estate & developers

Without it

Project microsites built in a page builder that cannot be indexed per unit, so every enquiry has to be bought from a portal at ₹1,200–₹2,500 a lead.

With it

A project page per tower and a landing page per campaign, each indexable, each with its own tracked form and instant WhatsApp handoff to the sales team.

Cost per lead moves from portal pricing to owned-channel pricing — ours have landed as low as ₹51 on a live campaign.

Clinics & healthcare

Without it

Patients call to ask about timings, insurance and doctor availability because the site does not answer any of it, so reception loses two hours a day.

With it

Doctor pages, service pages and a booking flow that writes straight into the practice calendar, with schema so Google shows the right hours.

Enquiry calls fall while booked appointments rise — the same demand, routed instead of answered manually.

D2C & retail

Without it

A storefront theme with six apps bolted on, a 4.5-second product page and a checkout that drops a third of the carts on mobile.

With it

A trimmed, measured front end with the app bloat removed, product pages that pass Core Web Vitals, and a checkout instrumented step by step.

A one-second improvement on mobile product pages is worth a measurable slice of revenue at any real volume.

B2B & manufacturing

Without it

A catalogue trapped in a PDF, so nothing in the product range can rank and every RFQ starts with a phone call to ask what you make.

With it

Each SKU or capability as its own indexable page with specs, downloads and an RFQ form that lands in the CRM tagged by product.

Long-tail search starts producing qualified RFQs that never existed before, at zero media cost.

SaaS & startups

Without it

A marketing site inside the product repo, so every copy change needs a developer and a deploy, and the team stops changing copy.

With it

A separate marketing site on a CMS with preview, so growth ships pages daily and engineering never sees the ticket.

Landing page turnaround goes from a sprint to an afternoon, which is what makes paid experiments possible at all.

Education & coaching

Without it

Admissions traffic lands on a homepage, hunts for the course, and leaves — so paid spend converts at a fraction of what it should.

With it

A page per course and per intake with fees, syllabus, faculty and a form that routes by programme to the right counsellor.

The same ad spend produces more applications because the landing page finally matches the query.
Why software, not headcount

Why building beats renting, past a certain point

Templates and page builders are the right answer for a business with five pages and no traffic. They stop being the right answer the moment the site is a revenue channel, because the costs move from the licence to the things the licence stops you doing.

Performance is a feature you cannot bolt on

A builder ships every visitor the whole framework whether the page uses it or not. A built site sends the HTML for that page and little else. That gap is one to four seconds on an Indian mobile connection, and it shows up in bounce rate, ad quality score and rankings at the same time.

You own the compounding asset

Rented sites end when the subscription does. A repository you own, on hosting in your name, can be moved, forked, extended and handed to another team. Five years in, that is the difference between an asset and a recurring cost.

Integration stops being a plugin lottery

Every plugin you add to a rented stack is a dependency you did not write, cannot audit and cannot fix at 11pm. Custom integration means your CRM, ERP, payment gateway and ad platforms talk to each other on terms you set.

The marginal page costs nothing

Once the templates exist, a new location page, course page or product page is a data entry job, not a design project. That is what makes programmatic SEO possible — and it is why a built site gets cheaper per page over time while a builder gets more expensive.

Scope

What a web development engagement includes

01

Discovery & information architecture

Sitemap, URL structure, and a page-by-page brief that says what each page is for and what query it should win. Written before a single screen is designed, because a site plan argued about in Figma is argued about twice.

02

Design in Figma

Desktop and mobile for every unique template, a type scale, a colour system and real content in the mockups. No lorem ipsum — copy that does not fit is a design problem you want to find in Figma, not in staging.

03

Front-end build

Next.js App Router with server components, Tailwind for styling, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation and visible focus states. Accessibility is checked as it is built rather than audited afterwards.

04

CMS integration

Sanity, Payload or WordPress as a headless back end, with preview so an editor can see the page before publishing. Fields are named for what they are in your business, not for what they are in the schema.

05

Technical SEO foundation

Server-rendered content, canonical tags, an XML sitemap, robots rules, Open Graph cards and JSON-LD for the organisation, breadcrumbs and FAQs. See [SEO, AEO & GEO](/services/seo-aeo-geo) for the work that comes after launch.

06

Analytics & conversion tracking

GA4, server-side conversion events, Meta and Google tags fired on real form submissions rather than page views, and a debug pass proving each one. Detailed on [Conversion & Analytics](/services/conversion-analytics).

07

Performance budget

An agreed ceiling for JavaScript, image weight and third-party scripts, enforced in CI. Budgets are the only reliable defence against a fast site turning slow six months after launch.

08

Handover & documentation

Repository access, environment variables, a deployment runbook, a CMS walkthrough recorded on video, and thirty days of post-launch support included.

Stack

The web development stack we build on

Every tool on this list is one we have shipped and still maintain for a paying client. Nothing here is aspirational — if it is not in production somewhere, it is not on the page.

Languages & frameworks

What the site itself is written in. The choice is made on who maintains it after launch, not on what we enjoy writing.

TypeScriptLanguage

Every build, front and back. Types catch the class of bug that otherwise reaches a client's phone at 2am, and they make handover to another team survivable.

web development company in India: how it works and what it is worth

Search for a web development company in India and you will get several thousand results, most of which describe themselves identically. This page is the version of that pitch with the numbers left in, written for someone comparing agencies rather than for a crawler.

What web development actually covers

The term spans four quite different jobs, and a lot of unhappy projects start with the client and the agency meaning different ones. A brochure site presents a business. A marketing site is built to be found and to convert. A web application is software that happens to run in a browser. An e-commerce build is a marketing site with a checkout attached and a completely different failure mode.

We build all four, and the first hour of any conversation is spent working out which one you actually need — see Websites of Every Kind for the full range of shapes, and E-commerce Development if you sell online.

Why website development in India is quoted so differently

The same brief will come back at ₹25,000 and at ₹4,00,000, and both numbers are real. The gap is almost never design quality. It is what is included underneath.

If you are comparing quotes, the useful question is not what it costs but which column each supplier is quoting. We have written the full breakdown in what a website costs in India.

Next.js, WordPress or Webflow

We build in Next.js when the site has to be fast, indexable and dynamic at once — commerce, many pages, logged-in areas, anything with real traffic. We recommend Webflow or headless WordPress when the site is mostly content and your marketing team wants to restructure pages without a developer. The deciding question is who maintains it in month seven, not which framework is fashionable.

Two things are true regardless of the choice: the content has to arrive in the HTML rather than being assembled by JavaScript afterwards, and the page has to be fast on a mid-range Android phone on a congested network, because that is what most of your Indian traffic is using.

What a good build gets right that a cheap one does not

  • Core Web Vitals measured in the field, not in a Lighthouse run on a laptop — see website speed optimisation.
  • A redirect map on any rebuild, so years of ranking equity survive the relaunch. This is the single most common cause of a redesign losing traffic.
  • Structured data for the organisation, breadcrumbs and FAQs, cross-referenced so the site reads as one entity to search and answer engines.
  • Conversion tracking proven against real submissions, so the number in your ad account matches the number in your CRM.
  • Templates rather than pages, so the fortieth location or course page is data entry rather than a design project.

How the build connects to everything after it

A website is not the end of the project; it is the thing every other channel points at. That is why we build tracking during the build rather than after it, and why the same team that ships the site can run the campaigns against it — the argument for that is on End-to-End Pipelines.

Working with us from anywhere

We are based in India and work with clients across India, the USA, Canada and the UAE. Projects run in two-week sprints with a live preview URL from the first one, so you are reviewing real pages on a real phone rather than screenshots in a deck.

How it runs

Our web development process, week by week

Every stage ends in something you can hold — a document, a build, a live account. If a stage cannot name its output, it is a meeting, not a stage.

01

Audit & scope

We go through your current site, analytics and Search Console and write down what is losing money. Then we scope the fix — pages, templates, integrations, timeline and a fixed price.

Output: Audit document and a fixed-price scope
02

Architecture & content plan

Sitemap, URL structure, redirect map if it is a redesign, and a brief per template. Redirects planned now are the difference between keeping your rankings and starting again.

Output: Sitemap, URL map and redirect plan
03

Design

Two rounds on the key templates, mobile designed first because that is where most of your traffic is. Sign-off is per template rather than per page.

Output: Figma file, desktop and mobile
04

Build in sprints

Two-week sprints with a live preview URL from the first one. You review real pages on a real phone, not screenshots in a slide deck.

Output: A staging URL that updates every week
05

Tracking & QA

Cross-browser and device QA, accessibility pass, and every conversion event fired and verified end to end in GA4 and the ad platforms before we go anywhere near launch.

Output: QA log and a verified tracking sheet
06

Launch & handover

DNS cutover, redirects live, sitemap submitted, monitoring on. Then documentation, a recorded CMS walkthrough and thirty days of support.

Output: Live site, repo and docs in your name

Included free with every web development engagement

Everything here is part of the engagement at no extra cost. We do not itemise them on an invoice and we do not withhold them if you leave.

✓

A written technical audit before you commit

We crawl your current site, run field performance data and read your Search Console, then write down what is costing you traffic and conversions. You keep the document whether or not you hire us.

✓

Thirty days of post-launch support

Bugs, tweaks and the small changes nobody thought of until the site was real. Included with every build rather than sold as an add-on retainer.

✓

A recorded CMS walkthrough

Screen recordings of the specific tasks your team will actually do — add a page, change a hero, publish a post — so onboarding a new marketer does not need us.

✓

Analytics and conversion tracking wired in

GA4, ad platform events and a verified event map, built during the project rather than quoted separately afterwards.

✓

A performance budget enforced in CI

An automated ceiling on JavaScript and image weight, so the site cannot quietly get slow after we leave.

Web Development questions

It is scoped on the number of unique templates, the integrations involved and who maintains the site afterwards — not on page count, which is the number most quotes are built from and the least predictive of effort. We audit first, then quote one fixed price, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
