Quick-commerce app UX: designing for a 10-minute promise

Quick commerce sells time. The customer is not buying milk — they are buying milk in nine minutes. Every design decision should protect that promise, in the customer app and on the store floor.

Put the ETA where the brand would go

The delivery time is the product, so it belongs in the header of the home screen, before search.

Make reordering instant

Most baskets repeat. A "Buy again" strip with one-tap add does more for order value than any banner.

Offer delivery and pickup side by side

When riders are short, an honest "ready in 5 minutes for pickup" keeps the order. Our Dash concept puts the toggle in the cart with real times for both.

Replace order status with a countdown

A ticking timer and the rider's face reassure better than a list of steps.

Design the dark store with the app

The promise is kept by pickers. Our dark-store console shows every order as a clock, assigns pickers by aisle and lets SLA risks jump the queue.
